As a machine safety specialist, you will belong to a department that works with machine safety, technical documentation, and work processes.

Support projects in machine safety

As a machine safety specialist, you have a clear focus: to support or lead the work concerning the machinery directive during the design, procurement, and modifications of machines. You ensure that legal requirements and internal guidelines are followed, lead risk assessments, and ensure that documentation such as the EU declaration of conformity is established correctly. All work is based on NKT's business policy, aiming to create safe and sustainable solutions. In your daily work as a machine safety specialist, you support our projects so that safety aspects are included from the start. You play a crucial role in ensuring that our solutions are safe, smart, and comply with applicable regulations.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Interpret and clarify relevant directives, regulations, and standards. Ensure that technical specifications can be practically applied to meet fundamental safety requirements.
  • Contribute to the development or advice regarding the machine's safety concept.
  • Share your expertise and produce the documentation required for the machine's design, function, and construction to meet CE marking requirements.
  • Conduct risk assessments.

Structured and attentive team member

In the role of machine safety specialist, it is important that you are meticulous and structured when approaching your tasks. You have a pragmatic approach while being humble in your communication and collaboration with others. You enjoy working collaboratively and can perform tasks both independently and in a team. Your pedagogical ability allows you to explain complex issues clearly and accessibly, which is valuable in maintaining a safe and well-functioning work environment.

In addition to the above, we wish that you have the following:

  • Technical background preferably in electrical, automation, mechatronics, or HSE.
  • Experience with control systems, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Swedish and English in spoken and written form.

Certification in CMSE, CECE, and CEFS is an advantage. If you are not certified, we would like you to have an interest in developing in the field.
